Do you want to grow your supporters list? Do you want to to generate more donations and actions from your emails and social media posts? Do you want to improve your use of digital tools to move supporters to real world actions? Are you unsure which of the many social media and communications channels to use to engage your supporters?

Organize BC is partnering with Leadnow, a national leader in digital campaigning, to offer a Digital Campaigning training series. In three interactive workshops, you’ll learn how to design digital engagement strategies to engage your supporters using a full range of digital tools: petitions, social media, email blasts, surveys, texting and more. You’ll learn how to write compelling emails and social media posts to move your supporters to action, and how to optimize your digital campaigns to bring the widest possible audience to your actions. You can expect to leave with a to-do list to make your digital work more effective and a deeper understanding of how to use digital tools.

Digital Campaigning will run over the course of three weeks. Signing up for the course gives you access to all three sessions. We’re not registering people for individual sessions, though if you have a schedule conflict with one of the sessions, we’re open to talking about how to make it work for you.

October 26 - Tell your story: Campaign Writing for Email and Social Media

November 2 - Make a plan: Designing Your Digital Engagement Strategy

November 9 - Get it out there: Implementing Your Digital Campaign

All sessions are 4pm-6pm PDT / 5pm-7pm MDT / 6pm-8pm CDT / 7pm-9pm EDT*

*Note that Daylight Savings Time changes on November 5th. Local times will stay the same and shift from Daylight Time to Standard Time for the last session. If you live in Saskatchewan be mindful that as other provinces change their clocks, you’ll need to add an hour to the start time for the last week.

This is not a webinar.

Digital Campaigning will be highly interactive, with classroom style discussion and partner activities. Each week you’ll be asked to do about 1 hour of work outside of the training time, and will get individualized feedback from your trainer on email writing and campaign design assignments. Attending in real time is key.

Who is it for?

This training is for anyone working or volunteering on social change campaigns who wants to up their digital campaigning skill set. Whether you’re a volunteer at a small grassroots organization, or a staff member at a large organization, you’ll learn skills and concepts to take your work to the next level.
